Another Blueprint?

Al Gore (my former boss) announced yesterday that he was writing a new book about the climate crisis. His statement read:
“Now that the need for urgent action is even clearer with the alarming new findings of the last three years, it is time for a comprehensive global plan that actually solves the climate crisis.”
Another plan? Another blueprint? Really?
Gore was Vice President of the United States, won a Nobel Prize for his work as a global warming advocate, and launched/leads what many consider to be the nation’s most influential political organization around climate related issues — so he has earned at least the benefit of the doubt. I’m sure the book will be excellent, his writing always has been. Still, I have to believe there is a better way to educate, engage, and ultimately mobilize public support around this issue and/or to demonstrate to political, corporate, and other leaders across the nation that real action is needed.
Scratch that… I know there are better ways (and I have told Gore as much, on several occasions). Oh well.
