Well, for Ebbsfleet United, a tiny club in southeast England, its a reality. The site, MyFootballClub has about 31,000 members/owners from all over the world (including the author of this article), all of whom pay an annual subscription of about $60 to be a member of the nonprofit trust that owns “the Fleet.”
